The whole cast of companions in Baldur's Gate 3 is memorable but Gale, at the very least, deserves a spot in the starting lineup.

Mixing up the squad in Baldur's Gate 3 is important for different encounters, with characters like Wyll and Shadowheart being vital for dungeons with undead enemies, and Lae'zel and Astarion excelling in single-boss fights.
Approval from characters is crucial, with Karlach being a must-have for getting slaves out of prison and swapping her out for Lae'zel when dealing with Goblins.
Gale is a favorite among players and is a must-have companion due to his relative normalcy, intelligence, and utility in combat, making him a key asset to any party.
