Sure, they were all lines pulled out of a hat, and the weird responses to each other weren't anything that real humans (or elves or khajit) would say if they were actually listening to one another, but it was one of the first times in an RPG that I felt like the world was really alive, and that it continued to exist even when I wasn't around.
