Most vendors and shops in Starfield only buy select items from the player. Clothing shops don't buy guns, Gun shops don't buy clothes, and so on. For Trade Authority Shops and Kiosks everything from weapons to throwables to spacesuits is on the table. You just have to be willing to sell. They are some of the only locations where players can sell anything they want.
