Following the "In Their Footsteps" quest, the Unearthed quest takes you on a journey to the moon and Old Earth in search of an artifact in the Starfield universe. During the quest, you learn about NASA's ambitions of reaching the farthest planets and their experiments with a Grav Drive prototype.
